The National Association of Seadogs (Pyrate Confraternity), San Titanic Deck, has commemorated World Mental Health Day 2026 with a two-phase mental health awareness and medical outreach in Edo State.
Held under the theme “Live Experience, Heard Voices, Real Change,” the programme reached 52 participants: 25 teachers at Usugbenu Technical College, Irrua, and 27 commercial drivers at Auchi/Uromi Motor Park, Ekpoma.
The outreach featured mental health education, awareness of mental health challenges, and medical screening. Participants were encouraged to prioritise their well-being, seek professional help when necessary, and challenge the stigma associated with mental illness.
Medical professionals, including Dr. Mrs. Okete, Dr. Seun Teni, Dr. Mrs. Susan Obasanmi, Dr. Julius Ofanson, and other specialists, contributed to the programme.
The initiative reaffirmed San Titanic Deck’s commitment to community service, preventive healthcare, and the promotion of mental well-being.
